MARC scholar, Juliet Salivo, successfully completed a Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) at Michigan State University (MSU) this summer. Juliet worked in the laboratory of Dr. Almudena Veiga-Lopez in the Department of Animal Science. Juliet’s project investigated the effects of bisphenol S on gap junction intercellular communication. She also won the SROP Best Oral Presentation Award. This is the second year in a row a MARC scholar from NEIU wins the MSU SROP Best Oral Presentation Award with MARC alumni, Ryan Borchert, winning this award in 2017!! We’re so proud!
