Weekly Meeting
Once a week, the peer leader team will meet to check in with each other. These meetings are led by the program director, professor Porps. During the meeting, peer leaders will have a chance to bring forth any successes or concerns they are having with their workshops. General bookkeeping and school related information is often discussed. Attending these meetings keeps peer leaders in the loop of everything going on in the Computer Science department at Northeastern. During the weekly meetings, there will be professional development opportunities. Professor Porps will present articles ranging from email etiquette to goal setting. Being a peer leader is not only about helping students in their programming classes, it is also an opportunity to enrich yourself personally and professionally.
